What kind of PSI will a stock 2.3L turbo 4 from an 88 tbird take?
And how do I go about getting it to take more?
I know rods are a HUGE part, but what about the crank?

crank will take more power than you can throw at it.... We run 20 psi on the ranger with completely stock 100k mile short block.... _________________ Snoopstang II 2001 Ford Mustang 4.5L SVO V6 turbo on a true 10.5"

Pour the intake runners full of potassium nitrate, add a little diesel fuel and set a cap off in it.
...should be good for several thousand PSI for a couple of milli-seconds..... _________________ Life is Good |

I really would go with mopar rods, in order to rein that power in some, that , that 4 banger will be putting out, but i don;t think that it is going to beat that 460 tubo with all the goodie that u just built.. |

yeah, you are right about one thing, adding a mopar product to ANYTHING will do nothing but slow it down and cost horsepower....
boy did you leave the door WIDE open on that one!!!!!!!!!

rods are fin unless you are going to run n20... I had a friend make close to 400 hp on the rods... just DON'T detonate them.. _________________ Snoopstang II 2001 Ford Mustang 4.5L SVO V6 turbo on a true 10.5"
