Without failure, we would never know triumph.

If at first you dont succeed, try, try again.

Right?

How many races did you lose before finally winning one?
How many times were you so frustrated with things failing that you were ready to just throw in the towel and call it quits?

Ed sometimes you have to step back an evaluate the situation.

Have you not spent enough money on different projects that you could have a nice ride by now?

Save your money till you can get a car together that won't matter if you tear it up.

Are you using the van to work in W. Memphis? And what would you do it you tore it up racing it?

BTW how is the new job going? I'm sure it's nice to be home every night, now the new wife may not like it as well. LOL

D-man, do you not remember the countless times we have all tried to get the big guy to just work on one project and stay with it, (no matter how long it take)? He is like a little child, he wants something or wants to do something and he wants it now and it doesn't matter how he gets it as long as he gets it now. He wants to race, so he does, no matter how. The big thing is though, my kids, (all 6 of them) realized they could not have everything they want without a little hard work and patience way before they got out of high school. Oh well! Like Ed says, (as most kids) "it's mine and I will do what I want with it". By now he could have had my Truck or Capri and had fun with eather one of them. He could have run 7.50 class real easy with my truck if he would have saved just half the money he has blown on all his projects, in fact that motor is still running and at the track. I was willing to put the truck up and let him make payments, the same deal with the little Capri but as I mentioned before, he wanted something NOW. I don't mean to make Ed mad but dang Big Guy, we have all tried to get you into a hotrod at one time or another and all you had to do was be patient. You trash most everything up you race so what makes you think that nice (FAMILY) van is going to last?

I have a whole new outlook on my racing now thanks to the wisdoms of folks on several boards.

I do have that green mustang at the house and I am slowly working on it.
Like I said Sunday, I had a drag racing itch and it got scratched so I am happy for a while. I will devote more time into getting that mustang ready for an engine and transmission and race ready instead of racing my van. It is a dependable vehicle for my wife to use while I use the Focus for the trips to and from West Memphis. It is doing a heckuva lot better on the trips than the van.

Talk to you folks in a few weeks.

Ed
