Hi guys. I am new to this forum and I have heard about this place for a long time now. Even seen it on Speed channel, and it struck a nostalgic cord with me. Is this a "just show up and race type place? Also, cost to enter and do you bring your own "burn out water" like I have heard rumor of. I would appreciate a little background and some facts about George Ray's from you guys that go there a lot. Seems like a lot of fast cars and a great group of guys. By the way, I am the President of the SVTOA-Memphis car club and would love to get a club cruise down there to race. Thanks for any help here. _________________ Dale H. |

hey redbaron, yes, bring some water and VHT but someone will usually have some to loan you. I sell fuel there and usually have VHT also. there are several classes at George's track that include, trophy and money. the trophy are 12, 11, 10 and the money are 9.0, 8.50, 8.0, 7.50, 7.0, 6.50, 6.0, 5.50. pro tree (.400) pre-stage, stage, yellow, green, red, yes that's right, one yellow then you go go go. lots of BBQ on site and friendly folks. $8 to get in and racing is free. race what ya want, time trials usually start at noon and racing starts around 2:30. the man to see for more info would be DD or better known as Speedy on the site. you can also go to MidsouthRacers.com to find more folks who race at George's. I'm Big Dog or better known as the Italian Stallion. Bob _________________ Powered by Ford |
